Translated into 17 languages, already included: English, German, French, Czech, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Brasilian, Serbian, Croatian, Swedish, Hungarian, Greek, Russian, Vietnamese.

Note: some languages are partially mixed with english until new translations are completed.

Paragliders: if you are using the IGC Plugin, please update it with the latest version as well.

FULL COMPLETE, NEW INSTALLATION If you are installing from scratch, on a new device, use this version.

The archive is a ZIP file, ready to be extracted and used on an SD card, or on a flash disk, with no other special operation required (no CAB files, no setup). It comes preconfigured with a demo map, waypoints and airspaces, plug/play! You will find executables files for: PPC2002, PPC2003, PNA (Car navigators, but working also on Windows Mobile 6.x and most platforms), and PC.

On PC platforms, simply copy the LK8000 folder somewhere even on the desktop, enter LK8000 folder and run PC exe. LK will start up using demo configuration, ready to be evaluated.  Nothing else to download, nothing else to install. No Microsoft install procedure, no registry usage, and thus easy to remove.

The PC version will start in 800x480 mode, but you can create a link of it choosing the desired resolution following instructions HERE or you can change the resolution with a menu button later, see the manual .

UPGRADE FROM 3.0  to new 4.0b You must have a 3.0 (a,b,c,d) already installed to use this package! This is not a standalone version and cannot be used alone.  If you are upgrading from 3.0 or earlier, use full install.

UPGRADE FROM 4.0a to the new 4.0b You must have a 4.0  already installed to use this package! This is not a standalone version and cannot be used alone.  If you are upgrading from 3.0 or earlier, use the full install. These are simple executables: simply replace old 4.0a executables with the new ones. Nothing else to do.  Very easy. Only if you are a paraglider pilot using the Plugin for the logger, you must update it too.

4.0b COMPETITION VERSION Executables only! Require LK 4.0 already installed. If you are using 3.0 please FIRST UPGRADE to 4.0b, and then download and use these executables! The Competition version has no TRI (Turn Rate Indicator) which is forbidden by FAI rules, and in the US competitions.

IGC LOG PLUG-IN for Paragliders

Some paragliding online competitions require a special "plug-in" module to be installed in order to accept LK8000' log files.

XCBrasil, FAI/CIVL WXC, XC UK and other competitions requiring approval by FAI/CIVL require the plugin.

OLC, XContest, DHV do not need the plugin, among many others. If in doubt, ask the organizations.

This package works only with 4.0A version for PNA devices. Follow instructions that are inside the zip.

Validation plugin released  May 22nd 2013. Applies only to v4.0 (A and B). It will not work with any other version.

Language Pack Upgrade for LK8000

Language Pack released May 22nd 2013, updating Dutch. Applies to v4.0.

The Language Pack is a ZIP file containing language upgrade. Unzip and copy all files inside _Language directory, replacing old contents.
